eldersburg residence, master suite & garage additions

The Owners of this home purchased the house because they liked the location and property on which it sat. However, the addition that had been added by a previous Owner didn't work for their family.

The existing split-level had a master suite addition that was only accessible to the main house through the lower-level living room. With two small boys, the lack of proximity to the children's bedrooms and the common areas of the house was a problem.

To solve this layout problem, the original addition was removed and a new addition was built in its place. A new master suite, playroom, and laundry room took the original ill-functioning space's place.

To make the house even more tailored to this family's needs, a new two-car garage was added and the entry area was relocated to allow for a covered porch leading to a formal foyer area with a private mudroom located between the kitchen and garage.

Re-siding the house, the addition of new window trim, and new landscaping were also completed to further transform this home.
